| Dirgantara Monument 1960 |
Many people in Jakarta and the Indonesian people who do not know the real name of this monument. Know the name of the monument is a patung Pancoran or tugu Pancoran, but did not know that the actual name is tugu Dirgantara.
Dirgantara statue in the roundabout Jalan Gatot Subroto (Overseas Pensions Aldiron Aerospace, formerly headquarters of the Indonesian Air Force) made and design by Edhi Sunarso, done by sculptor Edhi family leadership Sunarso Arca Yogyakarta. The first idea is from President Soekarno who wish to be made a statue of the Indonesian aviation or aerospace. These statues depict human space, which means that illustrates the spirit of courage Indonesia to explore space.
